PERSONALITY:
Naomi is a very serious girl. She has a time and a place for everything, and a set schedule for her whole life. If there was ever a sentence to describe her, it'd be simple: 'Soul as dry as the pages of the books to which you so desperately cleave.' Naomi is a silent raging fire, angry or indifferent for no reason and quiet for all reasons. She prefers to read and stay in the library

The real Naomi behind closed doors is completely opposite from how she looks on the outside. She dances when it's dark and she's alone, and sings to herself even when she shouldn't. She believes that if anybody wants to see what you're really like they'll take their time to figure it out; everything about you shouldn't be shown at first glance, it leaves nothing to wonder. Her persona is one of a girl who simply wants to be left alone but when she's alone she's a whole different person. Because she regularly goes unnoticed by teachers she hides herself in deserted classrooms with a tiny wireless, and dances to music on top of tables, and sings by herself, and even does so during study halls in her dormitory. Nobody knows of her activities, and the burning she feels after her classes are done.

Naomi isn't like normal teenage girls in another way. She is positive she is completely asexual but in actuality she is very attracted to boys, and does want to truly be with one one day. But her luck is rather dry in this apartment, as she's so used to doing what she was supposed to she has absolutely no idea how to have fun and no idea how to let loose. Not to say she's never been kissed before, because she obviously has. But pretending that the kiss never happened and avoiding the situation completely is not what a lot of people would do.

Because she was so heavily sheltered, Naomi is socially awkward and never does well in social events at Hogwarts, making her a bit of the quiet angry girl of Slytherin and never quite fitting into any kind of creed or specific friendship. She hardly has any friends and in secret she has serious insecurity about her social ineptness. So every day, she attempts to find a subtle way out every day, but still behind closed doors.

Naomi was born on January 1st, 1961. She was a general New Years baby who the parents expected to be a regular joy at home and life of the party. But that wasn't what they got at all. Naomi was a quiet baby, a quiet child, and a relatively quiet teenager. She was never a troublemaker or rule breaker, which made her mother more than happy. Amelia was never one to accept any kind of nonsense or tomfoolery and she taught her daughter that there was a time and a place for everything.

However, Damian was less than happy with his daughter's much too adult attitude. He felt as if his wife was stealing the childhood right out of her, not letting her ever get any outside time or any time to be a kid, to enjoy her childhood. Damian took time to make sure Naomi felt fun strong enough to remember forever. When her mother wasn't home Damian taught his daughter to dance, and to sing. He dared her to sneak into the neighbor's yard and ride their swing, and even took her out one day when she was twelve years old to every Muggle and wizard thrill ride, but when they returned they found a very angry Amelia. It was the last straw for Damian and his wife, and after a massive argument about the seriousness of their daughter's future Damian left, and soon enough Naomi's parents got a divorce.

Naomi only gets to see her father when she truly pushes to without her mother knowing. She rarely does so, as Amelia beat false allegations into her daughter's head and that her father was a bad man even though she was just hurt that he actually left her. She pushed her daughter harder and harder to succeed, taking away the little privileges she had for getting an A. Naomi studied harder and harder and when her fifth year rolled around she was not given the position of Prefect and she was devastated. Her mother refused to speak to her until Christmas, roughly showing her daughter her extreme disappointment.

Naomi goes to school just for education and roughly has no fun, never ventures to see or speak to her father, but receives his letters every so often when he sends them to her, which he regularly does. She keeps his letters in a small box she hides from her mother and reads, indulging herself in her father's loving words while she's away at school. She sends him anonymous gifts but never dares to send a reply, her mother wouldn't like it, and she has no idea what to write to her dad. So she presses on in her studies trying to make her mother proud of her more and more every day.
